Dynamics 365 and Power Platform dates announced for the first release wave of updates planned for 2020, starting April 2020

Microsoft yesterday announced key dates for the first release wave of updates planned for 2020 for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, starting April 2020. Microsoft is heavily invested in rapidly delivering new capabilities to our customers. Microsoft delivers these capabilities through two release waves per year.

These key dates help our customers proactively plan and on-board the new capabilities as part of their strategy roadmap:

  • January 27, 2020: Release plans available – customers will learn about upcoming capabilities to their solutions;
  • February 3, 2020: Early access available – new features can be tried ahead of its April 2020 release wave 1;
  • April 1, 2020: General availability – features are enabled automatically and production deployment for 2020 release wave 1 will commence.
